Review : The Kid Who Came From Space by Ross Welford

"The Kid Who Came From Space" is a middle-grade science fiction novel written by Ross Welford. The book follows the story of a boy named Aqil, who crash-lands on Earth in a mysterious pod with no memory of who he is or where he came from. He soon meets a girl named Dan who helps him unravel the mystery of his past.

One of the strengths of the book is its well-crafted plot, which is full of twists and turns that keep the reader engaged throughout. The author does an excellent job of slowly revealing the secrets of Aqil's past while also creating suspense and tension. The characters in the book are also well-developed and relatable. Aqil is a likable protagonist, and the reader can't help but root for him as he tries to uncover the truth about his past. Dan is a strong and independent character who is a good foil to Aqil's more uncertain nature.

Another strength of the book is the themes it explores, including friendship, identity, and the consequences of scientific experimentation. The author handles these themes with sensitivity and insight, making them accessible to younger readers. Overall, "The Kid Who Came From Space" is a well-written and engaging novel that will appeal to fans of science fiction and adventure.

Ross Welford has once again shown his skill at crafting compelling stories for young readers. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and thought-provoking read.
